We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Welfare Worker to join our team. The Welfare Worker will provide support to individuals and families in need, including but not limited to the elderly, children, and people with disabilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in social work, excellent communication skills, and a passion for improving the lives of vulnerable populations.
Responsibilities:
*Conduct assessments of clients’ needs, including social, emotional, financial, and physical needs.
*Develop individualized care plans based on client needs and goals.
*Provide case management and advocacy services to clients, including accessing resources and services, such as housing, healthcare, and financial assistance.
*Coordinate services and support with other community agencies and service providers.
*Maintain accurate and timely case records and documentation.
*Provide crisis intervention and support to clients in emergency situations.
*Participate in ongoing professional development activities, including continuing education and training.
*Adhere to ethical and professional standards of practice and maintain confidentiality of client information.
Qualifications:
*Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work or related field from an accredited program.
*Active and unrestricted license to practice social work in the state of practice.
*Minimum of 2-3 years of experience providing social work services to vulnerable populations.
*Strong knowledge of social services and community resources, including but not limited to housing, healthcare, and financial assistance.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams.
*Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively.
*Strong written and verbal communication skills.
*Commitment to ethical and professional standards of practice.
