The Store Person is responsible for managing and organizing inventory within the company’s storage facility. This role involves receiving, storing, and distributing materials, tools, and products efficiently to support the smooth operation of various departments within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Inventory Management: Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials, supplies, and products. Organize and maintain accurate inventory records using electronic systems or manual methods.
  2. Order Fulfillment: Process requests and orders from various departments, ensuring timely and accurate distribution of materials. Prepare orders for shipment or delivery.
  3. Stock Rotation: Monitor inventory levels and perform regular stock rotation to minimize waste and ensure that products with earlier expiration dates are used first.
  4. Quality Control: Conduct routine inspections to ensure the quality and condition of stored items. Report any discrepancies or issues to the supervisor.
  5. Organization: Maintain a clean and organized storage area, ensuring that materials are stored in designated locations and that safety guidelines are followed.
  6. Communication: Collaborate with other departments to understand their inventory needs and communicate effectively to meet those requirements.
  7. Equipment Operation: Utilize material handling equipment, such as forklifts or pallet jacks, to move and organize materials safely.
  8. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, promoting a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

  1. Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a warehouse or storage facility.
  2. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  3. Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management software.
  4. Ability to operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts or pallet jacks (training/certification may be required).
  5. Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members.
  6. Physical fitness and the ability to lift and move heavy objects as required.

Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
