We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse with expertise in child and family health to join our team. As a Registered Nurse in our Child and Family Health Service, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to children, infants, and families in various community and clinical settings. You will play a critical role in promoting health and well-being, providing education and support to families, and contributing to positive outcomes for children and their families.
Responsibilities:
*Provide comprehensive nursing care to children, infants, and families in various community and clinical settings, including health assessments, screenings, immunizations, developmental assessments, and other health interventions.
Provide education and support to families on topics such as child growth and development, nutrition, parenting skills, and health promotion.
*Collaborate with other healthcare providers, such as pediatricians, social workers, and occupational therapists, to develop and implement care plans for children and families.
*Administer medications, perform procedures, and provide treatments as prescribed, and monitor responses to interventions.
*Participate in health promotion programs, including community education, outreach activities, and group sessions for parents and caregivers.
*Document assessments, care plans, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely in electronic health records (EHR) or other relevant medical software.
*Provide emotional support and counseling to children and families, and advocate for their needs and rights.
*Collaborate with other members of the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated and holistic care for children and families.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in child and family health nursing through continuing education and professional development.
Requirements:
*Current registration as a Registered Nurse with Sydney’s nursing regulatory body.
*Minimum of 2 years of experience in child and family health nursing, including experience in community and clinical settings.
*Strong clinical skills in child and family health assessment, intervention, and education.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with children, families, and other healthcare providers.
*Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment and collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
*Compassionate and family-centered approach to care, with a focus on promoting the health and well-being of children and families.
*Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) and other relevant medical software.
