Registered Nurse(Aged care)

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse with experience in aged care to join our team. As a Registered Nurse in our aged care facility, you will provide high-quality nursing care to elderly residents, promoting their physical and emotional well-being, and ensuring their safety and comfort. Your expertise in geriatric nursing, strong clinical skills, and ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team will contribute to providing optimal care to our residents.

Responsibilities:

*Provide comprehensive nursing care to elderly residents in our aged care facility, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of their care plans.

*Administer medications, wound care, and other treatments as prescribed, and monitor residents’ responses to interventions.

*Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support, as needed.

*Collaborate with physicians, other nurses, care aides, and other healthcare providers to develop and implement individualized care plans based on residents’ needs and preferences.

*Monitor and document residents’ condition and progress, and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare provider.

*Provide emotional support and education to residents and their families, and involve them in the care planning process.

*Ensure residents’ safety and well-being by following infection control protocols, fall prevention measures, and other safety guidelines.

*Participate in interdisciplinary rounds, care conferences, and other team meetings to ensure coordinated and holistic care for residents.

*Provide guidance and supervision to care aides and other support staff as needed.

Stay updated with the latest advancements in geriatric nursing and aged care through continuing education and professional development.

Requirements:

*Current registration as a Registered Nurse with Sydney’s nursing regulatory body.

*Minimum of 2 years of experience in aged care or geriatric nursing.

*Strong clinical skills in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.

*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with elderly residents, families, and other healthcare providers.

*Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment and collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.

*Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care, with a focus on promoting the well-being and dignity of elderly residents.

*Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) and other relevant medical software.
