We are seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our medical practice as a valuable member of our healthcare team. As a Registered Nurse in our medical practice, you will play a critical role in providing comprehensive nursing care to our patients, assisting with clinical procedures, and ensuring efficient and smooth day-to-day operations of the practice. You will work closely with our physicians, other healthcare providers, and administrative staff to deliver high-quality patient care in a professional and compassionate manner.
Responsibilities:
*Perform patient assessments, including taking vital signs, reviewing medical history, and identifying patient concerns or complaints.
*Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians or other healthcare providers, and monitor patients’ responses to interventions, documenting accurately in electronic health records (EHR) or other relevant medical software.
*Assist with clinical procedures, such as wound care, injections, and other minor medical procedures, following established protocols and infection control guidelines.
*Provide patient education and support regarding their medical conditions, treatment plans, and self-care management, promoting optimal health outcomes.
*Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to develop and implement patient care plans, and communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
*Manage patient flow and appointments, ensuring timely and efficient patient care, and maintaining accurate patient records and documentation.
*Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, practice policies and procedures, and maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
*Assist with administrative tasks, such as scheduling, billing, and insurance verification, as needed.
*Participate in ongoing education and professional development to maintain current knowledge and skills in medical nursing and practice management.
Requirements:
*Current registration as a Registered Nurse with Sydney’s nursing regulatory body.
*Minimum of 2 years of experience in nursing, with a focus on medical nursing and/or experience in a medical practice setting.
*Knowledge and understanding of medical conditions, common health conditions, medications, and medical procedures.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare providers.
*Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced medical practice environment.
*Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) and other relevant medical software.
*Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
