REGISTERED NURSE (CRITICAL CARE EMERGENCY)

We are seeking experienced and skilled Registered Nurses to join our Critical Care Emergency team. As a Registered Nurse in our Critical Care Emergency unit, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to critically ill or injured patients in the emergency setting. You will play a critical role in assessing, stabilizing, and managing patients with acute and life-threatening conditions, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive and specialized nursing care to critically ill or injured patients in the emergency setting, including assessment, triage, intervention, and ongoing monitoring.
• Administer medications, perform procedures, and provide treatments as ordered by physicians, and monitor patient responses to interventions.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers, such as physicians, respiratory therapists, and other members of the multidisciplinary team, to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, and provide appropriate interventions as needed.
• Assist with emergency procedures, such as intubation, central line placement, and chest tube insertion, as required.
• Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families during stressful and traumatic situations.
• Document assessments, care plans, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely in electronic health records (EHR) or other relevant medical software.
• Participate in ongoing education and professional development to maintain current knowledge and skills in critical care emergency nursing.
• Adhere to infection control protocols, safety standards, and hospital policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Sydney’s nursing regulatory body.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in critical care emergency nursing, with a strong knowledge of emergency procedures, equipment, and protocols.
• Advanced knowledge and skills in critical care assessment, monitoring, and interventions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and members of the multidisciplinary team in high-stress situations.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, and make quick and informed decisions.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) and other relevant medical software.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
