Nurse Educator

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Nurse Educator to join our team. The Nurse Educator will be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating educational programs for nurses and other healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing education, excellent communication skills, and a passion for lifelong learning.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and evaluate educational programs for nurses and other healthcare professionals, including new hire orientation, ongoing professional development, and continuing education.
• Collaborate with nursing staff, nurse managers, and other healthcare professionals to identify educational needs and develop programs to address those needs.
• Conduct needs assessments, program evaluations, and other research to ensure the effectiveness of educational programs.
• Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and educational technologies to engage learners and enhance learning outcomes.
• Develop and maintain educational resources, including online learning modules, instructional videos, and written materials.
• Evaluate and document learner progress and provide feedback to learners and their supervisors.
• Stay current on the latest trends, research, and best practices in nursing education and integrate that knowledge into educational programs.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to promote excellence in nursing practice and patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program.
• Active and unrestricted nursing license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in nursing, with a focus on education and professional development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with all levels of staff and learners.
• Strong knowledge of nursing education principles, theories, and best practices.
• Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and evaluate educational programs.
• Experience with a variety of teaching strategies and educational technologies.
• Proficiency in computer skills and learning management systems.
• Commitment to lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
