We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Midwife to join our healthcare team. As a Midwife, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive and personalized care to pregnant women, facilitating safe childbirth, and supporting women and their families during the perinatal period. Your expertise in midwifery practice, ability to establish strong patient relationships, and commitment to evidence-based care will contribute to optimal outcomes for mothers and their newborns.
Responsibilities:
*Provide antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care to pregnant women, including conducting prenatal assessments, monitoring fetal well-being, managing labor and delivery, and providing postpartum care and support.
Provide education and counseling to pregnant women and their families on prenatal care, childbirth preparation, breastfeeding, newborn care, and postpartum recovery.
*Collaborate with obstetricians, pediatricians, and other healthcare providers to develop and implement comprehensive care plans for pregnant women with complex medical conditions or high-risk pregnancies.
*Facilitate childbirth, including managing labor and delivery, monitoring the progress of labor, providing emotional support, and managing complications or emergencies.
*Provide newborn care, including conducting newborn assessments, administering newborn medications and vaccines, and providing breastfeeding support.
*Assist with the management of obstetric emergencies, including hemorrhage, fetal distress, and other complications, and initiate appropriate interventions in a timely manner.
*Provide emotional support, counseling, and guidance to women and their families during the perinatal period, including addressing concerns, providing information on childbirth options, and promoting informed decision-making.
*Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including prenatal records, labor and delivery documentation, and postpartum records.
*Stay current with the latest advancements in midwifery practice, evidence-based care, and clinical guidelines through continuing education and professional development.
*Adhere to established protocols, guidelines, and standards of care, including infection control, patient safety, and quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
*Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Midwifery.
*Current license as a Midwife.
*Strong clinical skills in antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with pregnant women, families, and other healthcare providers.
*Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment and collaborate effectively with other healthcare providers.
*Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care, with a focus on providing holistic care to women and their families.
*Commitment to evidence-based practice, continuous learning, and professional development.
*Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) and other relevant medical software.
