Market Gardener

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled Market Gardener to join our team. As a Market Gardener, you will be responsible for the cultivation of a variety of crops for sale at local markets and to local businesses.

Responsibilities:

*Cultivate, plant, and harvest a variety of crops using sustainable and organic farming practices

*Monitor crop growth and health, identifying and managing pests and diseases as necessary

*Coordinate and manage planting schedules to ensure a steady supply of fresh produce

*Operate and maintain farm equipment and tools

*Prepare produce for market, including washing, packing, and labeling

*Manage inventory and pricing for market sales

*Maintain and build relationships with customers and vendors

*Maintain a clean and safe work environment

*Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

*Minimum of 2 years of experience in market gardening or a related field

*Knowledge of sustainable and organic farming practices

*Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

*Ability to work independently and in a team environment

*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

*Ability to operate and maintain farm equipment and tools

*Ability to work in all weather conditions

*Physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 pounds

*Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
