Compliance Officer
About the Role
The Compliance Officer is responsible for conducting internal reviews and audits to ensure compliance procedures are followed including:
- Coordinating and attending meetings with directors and stakeholders.
- Coordinating and conducting internal risk assessments and identifying, assessing and managing risks.
- Coordinating and conducting internal investigations into compliance issues.
- Ensuring company activities, products, policies and documentation are compliant with company, state and federal regulations.
- Reporting to board and management on matters of risk, compliance and legislation.
- Ensuring record management systems are kept up to date.
About You
The ideal candidate would be someone with advanced administrative skills and a keen eye for detail including:
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- An ability to think analytically and efficient problem solving capabilities.
- Good command of English
- Knowledge of the relevant industry.
- Management experience.
Essential Criteria
- Compliance experience covering the RTO industry.
- At least 3 years’ experience in a Senior RTO role.
- Degree qualification (or equivalent) in Commerce / Business / Economics / Law or relevant discipline OR Diploma of Quality Auditing.
- Strong understanding of the National Standards for RTOs (2018), compliance audits knowledge
- Good working knowledge of the ESOS Act and CRICOS standards
- Professional and personal integrity.
