We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Community Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for working with community members to identify and address social issues and concerns, provide support and resources, and promote community involvement and empowerment. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a passion for social justice, and a commitment to making a positive impact in the community.

Responsibilities:

*Work collaboratively with community members to identify and address social issues and concerns, such as poverty, homelessness, addiction, mental health, and social isolation.

*Develop and implement community-based programs and initiatives to promote social inclusion, participation, and empowerment.

*Provide support, advocacy, and resources to individuals and families in need, including referrals to appropriate agencies and services.

*Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and organizations to facilitate collaboration and resource sharing.

*Organize and facilitate community events and activities, such as workshops, support groups, and community forums.

*Conduct outreach and education activities to promote awareness and understanding of social issues and available resources.

*Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation of client interactions and program activities.

*Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

*Bachelor’s degree in social work, community development, or a related field.

*Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a community-based setting, providing support and resources to individuals and families in need.

*Knowledge of community-based programs, services, and resources related to social issues, such as poverty, homelessness, addiction, mental health, and social isolation.

*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.

*Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

*Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a commitment to collaboration and cooperation.

*Familiarity with community development principles and practices.

*Basic computer skills and experience with database management and record keeping.
