Academic Manager

Our client is a Registered Training Organisation focused on developing career paths for individuals currently working in, entering, or considering employment in the relevant industry. We are currently seeking candidates for the following position in Sydney:

• Academic Manager

Responsibilities:

• Manage and update academic program to meet curriculum goal
• Supervise and manage content
• Plan, create and oversee the content production and training materials
• Manage Moodle
• Brainstorm and collaborate with team for new ideas and content strategies
• Create schedule and calendar plans for content releases and updates based on ASQA requirements
• Monitor, track, and document content results; analyse data/returns/student’s response
• Monitor student academic progress and provide guidance to students
• Support and assist on college operations
• Overseas administrative functions of trainers and assessors
• In coordination with college Director of Studies works on trainer skills Matrix outlining VET qualifications and competencies.
• Participate in recruitment, selection and induction process
• Provides trainers and assessors with academic support and manages professional development training in consultation with the Director of Studies.
• Maintains and manages moderation and validation processes which include Industry consultation

The Ideal Candidate:

• A team player with strong organisation skills
• Sound knowledge of the VET sector
• Well developed written and verbal communication skills
• Excellence in trainers and clients focus

Desirable, but not essential:

• Certificate IV in Training & Assessments (TAE40116) or higher or TAE40110 along with TAEASS502 and TAELLN401 units
• Previous experience in a classroom-based training & assessment.
